This course presents a comprehensive view of money, its nature, types and functions, as well as various monetary systems. It also presents the banking system with all its components and its role in credit creation and control. It also contains analysis of the economic effects of the central bank monetary policies on the local economy. In addition, it discusses various monetary theories and the need for coordination between monetary and fiscal policies.
