Experience
*Academic Experience • Twelve years of academic experience. Started in 1997, and for three years, as a part time lecturer in management at Al-Zaytoonah University. Then in 2000 she became a full time Assistant Prof. of management at Al-Zaytoonah University till 2006 when she was promoted to an Associate Prof. In September 2007 she joined the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Petra University till this date. • Teaches specialized courses in Business Administration in Arabic and English languages at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and is a discussant of MBA students at several public and private Jordanian universities. She also evaluates management studies for scientific Journals and working papers submitted to scientific conferences and symposia. In addition, she is an active member in several accreditation committees at the Jordanian Higher Education Accreditation Commission, and was a member of the preparatory committee of Business Administration proficiency exam between 2005-2008. Furthermore, she headed and supervised the preparation of Al-Zaytoonah University Business Administration self assessment reports submitted to the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and Al-Hussein Fund for Excellence in 2003 & 2005. • Participated in nearly 15 specialized conferences in management and presented studies in both Arabic and English languages many of which were published in American international journals. • Conducted workshops on different subjects in cooperation with Jordan Chamber of Commerce, and presented lectures in management in several societies and research centers inside and outside Jordan. • Published several articles in management and other fields in several Arab magazines and newspapers. • Attained the UNESCO International Computer Driving License (ICDL) certificate in August 2004. *Professional Experience • Before joining academia, she worked for twenty years as Deputy Secretary General of the Arab thought Forum (ATF), an Arab non-governmental organization presided by H.R.H. Prince Al-Hassan Bin Talal concerned in research development and Arab and international dialogues. During this time she organized not less than 60 conferences, in cooperation with worldwide research institutions ( in USA, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, Turkey and the former Soviet Union). In addition she participated in not less than 30 conferences inside and outside Jordan, during of which she presented working papers and studies on different subjects. She was also an active member in ATF different research projects such as "Education in the Arab countries in the 21st Century", "The impact of the peace settlement on Arab countries", and "Arab-economic cooperation in the nineties". Moreover she was a member of the evaluation committee of Dr. Suad Al-Sabah's Award for Creative Arab youths and a member of the consultative committee of the ATF Arabic and English newsletters. • Worked for the United Arab Emirates Embassy in London/UK between 1977-1980. • A member of many Arab and international associations and societies including: Arab Thought Forum, Arab Management Group of Bradford Management Centre/U.K, Arab network for Arab researchers in the Third sector/ Egypt, Arab Management Society/Egypt, Jordan University Alumni Club, and the Royal Automobile Club/Jordan. • Visited 38 countries around the world including Arab States and others from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. All this helped moving her interest in conducting cross-cultural research and communicating with people from different cultures.
